All FRANCK & FISCHER textile products are manufactured in the far East – Sri Lanka, China and India, and wooden products are sourced from Romania. Each toy or bag is carefully made to give the product the right look and quality. This requires high level of skill of the people making our products, which we highly value.
We have a close and personal relationship with our suppliers. We visit them on a regular basis to maintain the good cooperation and ensure that we uphold the high quality of our products. Most suppliers are GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard). The standard specifies expected ecology and labour requirements in textile and apparel manufacturing using organically produced raw materials. Moreover, the suppliers are also part of SEDEX, a global membership organization dedicated to driving improvements in ethical and responsible business practices. The suppliers are audited through the SEDEX Member Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), a leading ethical and social auditing methodology.
